How can I verify ownership and control of my wallet?

It is important for Enegra to verify that the self-custody wallet associated with your Investor Profile is owned by and under your control, before qualifying it to hold EGX.

You are able to verify ownership and control of the wallet when submitting your initial application through the Qualification Portal, by linking the wallet to the application. If you ever need to change the wallet associated with your Investor Profile, or if a third party requests verification for another purpose, you are able to sign a message using the wallet. This can be accomplished via the Polygon public blockchain explorer, PolygonScan. Some wallets also have this feature built-in.

The counterparty requesting the signature verification will usually supply you with a specific message to be signed. If you need to verify ownership and control of your wallet with Enegra, the message to be signed will be, "NAME confirms to Enegra Group on TODAY'S DATE that this wallet is under MY/OUR control and is used for the storage of MY/OUR assets."

Signing a message using PolygonScan

Browse to https://polygonscan.com
Select "More" and then "Verified Signature" from the menu
Select the "Sign Message" button
Select the wallet to connect from the pop-up, and accept the disclaimer
Paste the message to be signed into the "Message" field (as provided by the requesting party)
Select "Sign Message"
Confirm the signature request in your connected wallet
Copy the "Signature Hash" from the confirmation dialog, and send to the requesting party along with the wallet address and message

Note that you do not need to publish the signed message. Doing so will make the signed message visible to the general public.
